What Grounds You?
I am seeking a grounding force, something that holds me in place without restraining my spirit. An anchor that doesn’t feel heavy but instead keeps me steady, allowing me to witness life as it unfolds. The imagery I’m invoking here is like a gentle tethering, a balance between rootedness and the freedom to expand, to experience deeply without getting lost in the experience.
Maybe this anchor could be a simple daily practice or reminder, something like setting an intention to observe without attachment. Imagine approaching each moment as if it were a wave passing by; you see it, feel it, even absorb it, but allow it to recede naturally, carrying only its wisdom and leaving behind any heaviness. It can be a way to live as both the observer and the participant in your life.
Learning to stay within each moment while letting it pass is an art that can feel both humbling and liberating. Over time, this might cultivate a sense of inner peace that isn’t dependent on external stability, but instead on a “trust” that you can hold your ground in any experience, taking from it only what you need. This approach gives me the freedom to float without feeling untethered and to experience life with both depth and lightness.
“What about you?”
